The Lightning returned home to the Forum on Saturday night determined to put their road struggles behind them. After jumping out to a 4-1 lead, it looked as if they had indeed snapped out of their recent funk and returned to the form that the home crowd had witnessed in amassing a 6-0-1 record to date. Then the proverbial floor fell out, as the Bolts surrendered 5 unanswered goals in the last 19:37 of the game. Ilya Kovalchuk's short-handed goal with 4:37 left in the second period pulled the Thrashers to within 4-2, and essentially opened the floodgates as the Bolt's were unable to answer with any offense of their own. The loss was was their fith straight, in which they have been outscored 23-9, and second straight at home. The loss drops them to 5-7-1 overall.
