The Lightning continued their early season home dominance, dispatching of the hapless
Atlanta Thrashers 6-2. Vinny Prospal's two goals led a scoring barrage that saw five
different players score and help stop a two game slide that coincided with the teams first
road trip of the season. After allowing 10 goals in road contensts at Florida and Boston, the
Bolts returned to Channelside Drive and to the form they showed in the three games they
played to open the season. The win kept the Bolts unbeaten at home improving their record
to 4-0.
-Vinny Prospal leads the team with 7 goals and nine points. His hot start bodes well for the Bolt's, and has seemed to rvert to the level at which he played throughout the 2004 playoffs.
-In what seems like a departure from last season, it seems that John Tortarella has made Johan Holmqvist his clear cut number one goaltender. After a very shaky game, in which he was yanked, at Florida last week, Homer was back in the net the very next game at Boston. After another lackluster performance against the Bruins, Holmqvist was the again starter on saturday night. This very well could signal to the fans and the team that Tortarella has decided Holmqvist will be the starter for the season and there will not be a rotating door in goal this season
