The Buccaneers will practice indoors at the Champions Gate Omni Hotel this afternoon, with rain and lightning having made their presence known since about 2:30.
Weather like this is a fact of life for any place in central or south Florida, and it is the reason why Jon Gruden usually likes to schedule what seems at first glance to be an eye-popping amount of two-a-day sessions during training camp. This year, 15 of 19 days have two practices scheduled, but that is done with the Bucs knowing full well that several of those afternoon sessions will probably never happen outdoors due to weather. This is the second time in four days the Bucs will have practiced using the hotel ballrooms.
